Local Expert began with a straightforward conviction: the South Caucasus cannot be genuinely understood through impersonal tour buses or standardized itineraries. Founded in Tbilisi by a tight-knit collective of veteran Georgian mountaineers, historians, and wine specialists, we established our boutique inbound house to craft intimate, unhurried expeditions that treat visitors as personal guests.
Over the past decade, we have deliberately remained boutique. By limiting the number of expeditions we host each season, our Tbilisi operations team ensures every border crossing at Red Bridge and Sadakhlo is supervised directly, every 4x4 vehicle is meticulously maintained, and every family cellar opened to you belongs to winemakers we know by name.
We operate across Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia with 100% native Caucasus guides who were raised in the very mountain valleys and historic quarters you explore.
